On June 19, 2018, the EspacioUnoNueve in Madrid hosted the presentation of the South Node of EIT Food, the food knowledge and innovation community in Europe.
This act served to raise awareness regarding this initiative, promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), to more than 70 representatives of the food and education sectors, as well as the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Integrated by companies, start-ups, academic institutions and research centers throughout the food value chain, EIT Food is a consortium that seeks to place Europe at the center of the world revolution in the fields of innovation and food production.
The South Node of EIT Food coordinates the activities of this community in Spain, Italy, Greece, Israel, Portugal and Turkey, and has its headquarters in Madrid.
Acesur’s head of R&D, Pablo Rodríguez, attended the event. Acesur has been part of this project since its beginning.
