(7-7-2014) Acesur has become a sponsor of the Fundación Dieta Mediterránea (FDM), and is proud of its commitment to the organisation to promote healthy lifestyles and nutrition.

Olive oil is the healthiest fat, and if consumed frequently enough, can lead to a lowering of cholesterol (LDL), without causing a decrease in so-called 'good cholesterol' (HDL). Furthermore, it helps prevent the oxidation of cells and diseases such as arteriosclerosis.

Olive oil has always played a crucial role in the Mediterranean diet thanks to its taste and healthy nature, which is why the inclusion of an olive oil producer as Sponsor of the Fundación Dieta Mediterránea, could not be more fitting.

The aim of the Fundación Dieta Mediterránea is to encourage research into the Mediterranean Diet, meaning that collaborating with a company like Acesur, with a strong innovative mind-set, has great potential. The Fundación Dieta Mediterránea carries out activities within the scope of education, research, dissemination, socio-education, communication and promotion.

The President of the Fundación Dieta Mediterránea, Josep Mª Pelegrí, approved the collaboration with Acesur by formally signing an agreement with the olive oil company's commercial director, Carlos Guillén, which took place after a meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Acesur is the biggest entirely Spanish-owned olive oil producer. Its main brands are La Española and Coosur, which have a wide variety of products designed to meet the needs of the consumer whilst valuing above all, health and taste. Acesur has joined the growing list of sponsors of the Fundación, which includes other renowned companies such as Danone, Gallina Blanca and Freixenet.

(30-06-2014) From 29th June to 1st July the Summer Fancy Food Show, one of the most important gastronomic events in the United States, will be held at the Javits Center in New York. The team at Acesur USA will travel to the convention centre, headed by its director, Antonio Rubiales, to present the group's main new innovations. You can find us at International Pavillion: Spain, Booth 3231.

The Summer Fancy Food Show is a show where a large number of new innovations are presented, highlighting the industry's ability to innovate. Furthermore, this gathering has a distinct commercial character, since visitors are people with decision-making responsibilities in their companies.

The US traditionally leans towards the Italian market as far as olive oil consumption is concerned, although this trend is changing gradually in favour of Spanish produce. Acesur USA will exhibit the main new innovations of Coosur and La Española, where our City Oils are strongly established within the market.
